Our program centers around the health of each dog and pup. As a result, we take great pride in early care for all the lives in our home - in nutrition, grooming, and even laundry!

Do dogs know they're adorable? Ours certainly seem to! Simply in the way they look when begging for food, cuddles or hugs, eyes wide and face dimpled with the sweetest smile...they have to know their powers. At every opportunity, it seems, they paw and gaze, never afraid to ask for attention. Of course, they know our weakness as well as their own power; with persistent pleas they almost effortlessly garner attention. But it's even more effective when both Bristol and Kinley combine their cuteness to subtly distract us.

One squirming bundle of cuteness, wrapped up in a blanket and peering between two paws nearly the size of her face. Bristol laid her own face next to her pup's and looked up at us with contentment. Picture-perfect, the two lay there, side-by-side, mama and her mini-me. The pup wore her mother's puppy collar, freckles, giant paws, and inquisitive nose.

Dogs are always called "man's best friend". Dogs are great companions and loveable goofballs, so we can easily understand where the phrase came from. But what exactly is a dog's role as man's best friend? Certainly it's better than the role of cats...

Was it ever disputed that dogs are goofy? No. We have Mickey Mouse's loyal sidekick to show for that. Is it even a question that they are the biggest hypocrites on earth? Maybe not. For all they claim they're the toughest, most ferocious creatures that ever roamed the earth, we all know that they're sweet, lovable teddy bears down at heart. Except for Chihuahuas. They want to eat you. However, Bernese Mountain Dogs do not. Especially if their name happens to be Bristol. 

What is the very first thing you ask someone when you meet them? Their name. What exactly is in a name? Names are usually special. When a name is mentioned, it makes you think of someone or something. Hopefully, most names bring pleasant memories to mind. For me, one name that never fails to bring a smile to my face is Bristol. All I can think of is a fluffy, happy-go-lucky goofball with a smile constantly dominating her features. Bristol Bay. Yup! That's our puppy! Why did we name her Bristol, though?
